Technical Support Officer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the entry point for end-users and enter tickets into the tracking tool by receiving, recording resolving and/or escalating requests for service.
  • Ensure information is accurate, prioritized and assigned to a queue.
  • Follow all documented processes and procedures related to call handling, call escalation, data capturing,
  • closure and follow up procedures.
  • Responsible for communication with end-users to provide status, feedback, or general information regarding their request or inquiry for service.
  • Conduct end-user satisfaction surveys via phone and/or email and record results in the incident tracking
  • system/log,
  • Monitor trends in problems and questions and seek opportunities to improve support and training
  • processes


Person Specifications:

  • GCE 'A' Level / Diploma in a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of major operating systems [Windows, Linux) and familiar with browsers and office suites.
  • Knowledge of all major application in the lS department including Oracle billing systems
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to work with other departments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Able to work under pressure, long and during odd hours, ability to work on shift duties.
