Senior Finance Officer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the FE with managing the Treasury team to ensure all issues relating to banking, cash management, and partner shops are promptly and effectively managed.
  • Be responsible for the prompt and accurate banking of cash receipts received at Dhiraagu offices in the greater Male region on a timely basis.
  • Maintain monthly reconciliations of cash and bank records to ensure accuracy and control.
  • To be responsible for the reconciliation of cash in hand.
  • Support the preparation of daily cash balances to maximize the usage of Company’s surplus cash.
  • Ensure compliance is maintained with the Company’s treasury limits and procedures.
  • Be responsible for banking and reconciliation of daily collections from partner shops across the country. Including the verification of partner shop commission statements.
  • Support Treasury deliverable as part of monthly closing process, including journal postings, banks reconciliations, cash reporting and review of applicable P&L and balance sheet accounts.
  • Analyze and interpret financial data and prepare financial reports.
  • Assist in internal and external audit and ensure any audit recommendations are implemented.


Person Specifications:

  • Degree in Finance or Accounting or other equivalent qualification.
  • Demonstrate computer skills with particular emphasis on the use of computerized accounting systems.
  • Good knowledge and experience of Financial Accounting / Cash Management / Systems / Control Environments
  • Analytical skills with ability to evaluate financial data
  • Determined and highly motivated, with ability to work without close direction.
  • Supervisory experience with potential ability to manage.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Focus on process improvement and value adding activities.
  • High level of independent judgment and professionalism.
  • High level of integrity, accuracy, dependability, enthusiasm and confidentiality.
